The Online Webinar on “Indian Knowledge Systems: Relevance, Roots, and Renaissance” aims to explore the rich intellectual, scientific, philosophical, and cultural traditions of India and their continued relevance in the modern world. Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) encompass a vast body of knowledge developed over millennia, covering disciplines such as science, mathematics, medicine, architecture, linguistics, philosophy, ecology, governance, and ethics.

Dr. Sachin Sharma currently serves as the Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Applications at S-VYASA University, Bengaluru. In this leadership role, he heads academic and research initiatives that focus on the integration of modern computing technologies with holistic and traditional knowledge systems.

With strong expertise in areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), emerging digital technologies, and interdisciplinary research, Dr. Sharma actively promotes innovation that bridges contemporary technological advancements with value-based and indigenous knowledge frameworks. His academic contributions emphasize the application of technology in wellness, sustainability, education, and societal development.

Dr. Sharma is widely recognized for his commitment to technology-enabled research, curriculum development, and academic leadership, and for fostering collaborations that align modern science with traditional Indian knowledge systems.
