Dr. K. Lalitha is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and serves as the Head of Academic Affairs for Computing Departments at Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu.
She received her B.Tech. in Information Technology from CSI College of Engineering, The Nilgiris, in 2005 and her M.Tech. in Information Technology from Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore, in 2009. She obtained her Ph.D. in Wireless Sensor Networks from Anna University, Chennai, in 2019.
With over 19 years of experience in academia, she has made significant contributions to teaching, research, innovation, and academic development. She has conducted several workshops, seminars, and Faculty Development Programs in emerging domains of Information Technology.
She has published more than 65 research papers in international journals and international conferences in the areas of Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, and Machine Learning. She has also completed six industry projects and secured seven patents, reflecting her contributions to applied research and technological innovation.
Dr. Lalitha has organised international conferences and chaired technical sessions at various international conferences. She also contributed as a Co-Coordinator in securing an AICTE IDEA Lab grant of ₹90 lakh.
Her research interests include Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, and Machine Learning.
She is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI), the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
